This is a Swedish film made in 1957 by Ingmar Bergman. It's set during the medieval age, more specifically the Black Death. It revolves around a passage from the Book of Revelation. As you know I don't like spoiling films on here.A lot of people will know this film is considered a classic for its iconic scenes and is hailed as a masterpiece of cinematography. It's a really chilling film. Must have been mindblowing to see something this eerie and atmospheric when it first came out. I was feeling it.
Can't imagine this having the same effect if it was shot in colour...
